Former ESPN sports presenter Sage Steele told Fox Newsthat her interview with the president Joe Biden in March 2021 was completely staged.

“It was an interesting experience in itself because it was very organized. They told me, ‘You’re going to say every word we write, you’re not going to deviate from the script,’” Steele said.

According to her, every question for Biden was prepared in advance and went through “dozens of times” by editors and management.

“I was on a script and I was told not to deviate from it. It was like, ‘You ask about it. That’s how you say it. No extras. Next question,” the journalist said.

According to Steele, all aspects were worked out by “bosses, senior executives,” including the CEO and president of ESPN. She noted that she does not know for sure whether the channel sent questions before the interview to the White House, but expressed confidence that this was done.

In addition, the journalist described her conversation with Biden as “heartbreaking.”

“I think it’s really heartbreaking that people who love Joe Biden and say they really care about him allowed it to get to this point,” she said, referring to his clarity of mind.

As Fox News points out, ESPN declined to comment on this topic.

Biden is the oldest US president, turning 81 last November. If he wins the November presidential election, he will be 82 when he takes office, and 86 at the end of his second term. Biden himself considers his age to be evidence of experience and insists on the absence of significant health problems. At the same time, those around him regularly take preventive measures to reduce the risk of another fall in public or manifestations of forgetfulness.
